Video: Team Ram Nation edges past Dirty South, advances to round of 16 in Atlanta [INSIDER]

Survive and advance!
Today’s matchup between Team Ram Nation and Dirty South was every bit of the action you'd expect from two teams looking to survive and advance.
Ram Nation weathered the late storm of threes from Dirty South to advance to the Super 16 with the home court victory, 76-71.
Honorary Ram, Reggie Williams, tallied a game-high 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting. The VMI alum was also responsible for a game-high 4 steals for Ram Nation.
Ram Nation took a 69-66 lead into the first dead ball of the Under-4 minute mark in the final period. Elam Ending rules straight that the highest score at that point is added with 7 to make the target score.
First team to reach the target score wins the game.
Dirty South was able to cut their deficit to one point, before Brandon Rozzell was fouled on his layup attempt. He made both free throws, extending the lead, 74-68.
Rozzell netted 16 points, including the two late-game free throws, to end the night.
Xavier University alum, and new Ram Nation fan favorite, James Farr connected on a 17 foot jumper from the baseline to secure the 76-71 victory for Ram Nation.
Farr was responsible for 16 points on the night coming from 60% shooting from the floor—including one three-pointer.
VCU’s all-time leader scorer, Eric Maynor, dished out a game-high 8 assists.
Bradford Burgess chipped in 9 points and a team-high 7 rebounds for Ram Nation.
Both Maynor and Burgess have their VCU jersey hanging from the rafters in the Siegel Center.
Team Ram Nation will return to action Thursday, July 26th, as they take on Team DRC.
The game is set to take place at the Georgia State University Sports Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
