VCU sophomore Briante Weber set the tone of the night early with a steal turned into a Sports Center Top-10 dunk -- literally.
That was pretty much the story of the night, as the Rams took advantage of a banged up Western Kentucky (8-4) club to the tune of a 76-44 VCU win, their fifth straight.
Webers game-opening highlight was one of 32 Western Kentucky turnovers and the first of 20 VCU steals (don't forget to turn in your ticket for free nachos at Baja Bean Co. in the Fan!).
The sophomore spark plug lead a balanced VCU attack with 13 points on 5-7 shooting. Weber added five rebounds, five steals and two assists in the start.
Rob Brandenberg (12), Treveon Graham (11) and Juvonte Reddic (10) rounds out the list of double-digit scorers.
Senior Darius Theus added six steals and five assists in just 17 minutes off the bench. Theus has played a reserve role while nursing a knee injury the last few games.
The Rams move to 8-3 heading into a 7:30PM Friday night matchup against the Lancers of Longwood University (3-8).
