Video: VCU dominates UMASS; 68-50 [INSIDER]

Coach Mike Rhoades and the VCU Rams looked to their fourth win in conference play on Saturday as they hosted University of Massachusetts. The Minutemen were in Richmond looking for their first conference win but fortunately, VCU didnt let that happen, besting UMASS 68-50.

Juniors Issac Vann and De’Riante Jenkins led rams in scoring with 16 and 17, respectively. Vann also grabbed 5 rebounds while Jenkins gathered 7 of his own in the win.

In a game that saw all but 2 rams score, Vann and Jenkins would be the only two to see double digit scoring.

VCU shot 45% on the night, hitting 19-42 shots and hit 6-13 from behind the arc.

The win moves VCU to 13-5 (4-1) on the season. The Rams will travel to Rhode Island on Wednesday, January 23rd to face URI at 7pm. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

(Due to technical difficulties, we are unable to provide the first 10 minutes of action from the first half. Sadly, that includes Issac Vann’s dunk in the first few minutes. We apologize.)
