Both teams limped into this one having having lost head scratchers to weaker conference opponents, Drexel going down at home against Hofstra after starting the season 9-2 including a win at a ranked Louisville team, the Rams having just lost a road tilt against a Georgia State team they hadn't lost to in the past 12 tries.  Needless to say there were going to be two hungry teams too stubborn to roll over easily in a mid week CAA battle.
The Rams once again struggled shooting the ball, but a renewed purpose on defense kept the Black-and-Gold in this one.  VCU held Drexel leading scorer Chris Fouch to 14 points but on just 5-of-19 shooting.
In a game where VCU was out rebounded by 15, and shot a miserable 29% from the floor, onlookers had to wonder how VCU would keep their home record unblemished in last nights game.  Cue Drexel Coach Bruiser Flint...who as always puts on a show, this time perhaps costing his team the game.
Check out the video to see how it all went down.
