The Rams won their seventh straight game this afternoon, taking out Rhode Island in straight sets (27-25, 25-17, 25-8) to remain a perfect 9-0 at home while maintaining their top spot in the Atlantic 10 conference. The Rams nearly dropped the first set, trailing 24-23 despite a 14-7 start, but battled to win 27-25 and never looked back.

VCU was once again led by sophomore Romana Kriskova with 12 kills on the afternoon and moved within 10 kills from breaking VCU's single-season record (549). Junior Janelle Sykes climbed the charts as well, blocking URI five times to move her into a tie for fourth in single season history.

VCU heads to Saint Louis (10-15, 6-4) Saturday before returning to the Siegel Center Friday, Nov. 15 to host Duquesne (15-9, 9-2) in their final game of the regular season.
