It's the middle of April and we've got VCU basketball, people.
Briante Weber joins Troy Daniels in "The League", Weber getting the call-up from Sioux Falls to the Miami Heat, a team in the thick of this year's Eastern Conference NBA playoff race with Daniels' Charlotte Hornets.
Webers' Heat sit at fourth while the Hornets are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat will take on Detroit tonight at 7:30PM (viewable on NBA League Pass) then finish the season Wednesday at 8PM in an ESPN contest against the Boston Celtics, a team they are lined up to face at the start of postseason play.
Daniels and the Hornets have just one game remaining, an 8PM Wednesday night home game against the Orlando Magic on NBA League Pass.
By my math (full disclosure: I am not an NBA person), the Hornets and Heat still have a shot at facing off in the first round of this year's playoffs due to Miami, Charlotte and the Boston Celtics currently all at 47 wins each.
