That Atlantic 10 announced their official awards selections today and three of VCU's own took home some hardware.
Briante Weber defended his Defensive Player of the Year crown, winning his third consecutive A-10 DPOY title despite missing his final 10 games of the regular season due to a career-ending knee injury.
Weber finished the season with 78 steals, 10 more than any other A-10 player in a complete season this year. He was on track to destroy the NCAA's all-time steals record, needing just 12 more before suffering the injury in the Rams' first game against the University of Richmond.
Treveon Graham took home First Team honors. Joining A-10 Player of the Year, Tyler Kalinoski (Davids0n), as well as Jordan Sibert (Dayton), Kendall Anthony (Richmond) and Deandre Bembry (Saint Joseph's).
Graham is averaging a career-high 16.2 points per game and joins the conference First Team list for the second consecutive season.
Mo Alie-Cox wrapped up the awards for VCU, earning both All-Defensive and All-Academic team honors.
Alie-Cox has blocked a career-high 64 shots this season and ranks second in the conference among eligible players in blocks percentage at 9.78% (meaning percentage of the opposing team's shots he blocks while on the court).
