Thoughts on Switching Up the Lineups?

Simms has played great this season. His offense is greatly needed since Evans and IV has been in a slump. I know Simms picks up a lot of fouls and his defense is average but I still think he has earned the right to start. Evans looked bad again. I think he must be hurt. IV picked up his...

THE OFFICIAL BEAT THE FU MAROON RAMS IN THE ANIMAL TO BEGIN A-10 PLAY THREAD

I did not know about IV family loss. I knew he was not himself. I hope he will give all he has and honor his family member. It will make him a happier man and help him heal. Sorry for your loss IV.

THE OFFICIAL BEAT THE FU MAROON RAMS IN THE ANIMAL TO BEGIN A-10 PLAY THREAD

Like I said before, Vann almost looks like he does not care. Something seems to be bothering him. We have seen him play for three years and he is a much better player than what he has shown. He started out doing what Vann does and then nothing. Evans is not Evans too. I know each opposing...

The Official Beat the Greyhounds of Loyola University in the Animal

Like I said, Evans is our best player and even a better defensive player. However, there are two main problems here: (1) Evans thinking he is the man and tries to make something out of nothing, especially late in the game, and (2) the fact that he is too slow and too short. He drives the...

Jenkins overall FG % is not good, however, I do agree he is having an excellent year on defense.

Bones, 22 minutes, 0 TO's: Evans 25 minutes 5 TO's. Maybe run Bones at the point and play Evans at the 2. 18 TO's last game. If the team shot 30% from the field, it would result in 10+ points...tie game. Bones will start scoring more points when the A-10 games start. The big men are not...

The Official Beat the Greyhounds of Loyola University in the Animal

I'm really worried that we could end up the conference schedule with a 3rd or 4th place finish. One has to remember the A-10 was in a re-building mode last year. All these teams have gotten much better with a year of experience. I'm not sure our team has improved from last year. Evans seems...

The Official Beat Ole Dirty in the Animal Thread

I live in Chesapeake in ODU country. They hate us. Every game @ ODU is sold out when we play them. The venue is loud and it has to be good for college basketball and VCU. It's a tuff environment to play in. That alone will help us when we play on the road. All these p-5 teams play the...

I was there too. It was a great win.

The Official Beat Ole Dirty in the Animal Thread

You think the ODU rivalry has lost it's fire, see what happens if we should lose. Remember, we had a great team last year and completely dominated ODU in the first half and got blown out in the second and lost! ODU and Richmond are games we don't want to lose. The top 5 teams in the state are...

    The Stu needs a facelift

I don't want to be negative, but I agree the Stu looks small on tv. Remember, we have to compete against UVA, Tech, and the ACC. I remember years ago Coach Eddie Webb said they could get some really good recruits to visit but when they saw the Franklin Street practice facility, he could see...

News Story about Franklin Street Gym and VCU Basketball: Worth subscribing to The Athletic for

In the old gym! I think the "New Gym" was not finished until the 1969-70 season. When one refers to the FSG, I think it means the "New Gym".

News Story about Franklin Street Gym and VCU Basketball: Worth subscribing to The Athletic for

Creech never played in the FSG. I lived in the Chalkley House as a freshman in the first year of VCU (1968). I saw our first home game and Creech had already completed his career playing for RPI. I even went to a RPI game some time between 1962-64. My brother was an accounting major then.
