As much as that sucked I’m gonna say it pales in comparison to what they did last night.

Like it or not, this win is definitely the biggest in their history. Super underdogs who did something no team in the last 150 games has been able to do to Duke, let alone when they were the number 1 team.

Good choice... it was a total pantsing.

Espn plus has it. I think they do a 7 day free trial... has honestly been a lifesaver for a west coaster such as myself.

Honestly I don't think you have to worry about this. The voters are going to look at that more as a failure of UK than anything Evansville did. They might get one or two votes, but nothing that should damage us.

I'm with you on this one. For a super underdog and true mid major, it may be appropriate. But we're VCU. We need to act like we've been there before... because we have.

The line on this game was only VCU -2.5. The Hook is the Crook!

    Nah'Shon "Bones" Hyland

Two things about Bones tonight that show me he's going to be really good. First, He is very hard to speed up and force bad decisions. The mistakes at the end tonight are typical freshmen mistakes. The rest of the game he was calm, confident, and in control of himself. Second. When they pressed...

As much as I hate to admit it, When you watch it in replay, the call was correct. Live it probably looked bad, but Evans leaned a little to the left in order to make contact.

    VCU Media Mentions

This writer clearly doesn’t have an understanding of what happened last year nor the facets of a back to the basket game. He probably espouses the new NBA model of “step over the half court line and jack a 3” which is honestly (in my opinion) ruining the game.

That would be my second guess. Large airport with international connections.

My guess would be Denver since it provides the most connectivity inside the states.

Not saying RVA is screwed. Just saying that A) What people in the metro say they want and then the actions they take don't match up. B) Companies want to be there but until A is solved, the incentive just isn't there. C) The city needs to do something to attract companies to the area to replace...

In those negotiations, the two are very often linked... For instance, I'm doing a deal in Birmingham where I will be getting more than $10 million in state and local incentives. Conversely, I'm only going to get maybe +/- $1 million in Chicago (final number isn't set yet). Birmingham is far more...

The argument I'm making isn't that businesses don't want to be here, but that they in fact do. The Richmond MSA as a whole just makes it so unbelievably painful that it's easier for them to go elsewhere.

Thanks for posting. I just couldn't tell where the graph came from. I'm hesitant on this for a couple of reasons, namely the fact that they won't run the census till next year so at best these are inaccurate references. Also, percentage change is usually a great, eye popping figure in most...

When I’m saying region, I’m talking mostly about Henrico, Chesterfield, and Richmond City. Goochland and Hanover are both considered more friendly for development, but that’s because they’re desperate to grow. Unfortunately they lack the necessary infrastructure to make that growth happen and...

This is great in theory, unfortunately it's not really how it works in the real world. Slow and steady when it comes to city growth is usually more a recipe for disaster than it is for success. I do large scale development all over the country and I can say that Richmond's name is...
