I was reading this over my morning coffee. My thoughts were, those are two fine players but it is crazy that neither has ever played in an NCAA Tournament. Class by class goes through without dancing. Crazy.

It's been 10 years since they last went to the tournament. They made the Sweet 16, but were upstaged by their biggest rival. Who could that be? It's hard to imagine their last NCAA Tournament game was a 20-point loss in the Sweet 16 to Kansas, two days before we beat Kansas to go to the final Four.

It reinforces how hard it can be to get past a certain point in sports. While not necessarily apples-to-apples here, recently I read an article (don't recall exactly where) that spoke about some of the all-time great players who never made the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals or the World Series. Forget about not winning it, so many great players never even get a chance to play in big games, a big series or, in the case of college basketball players, the Big Dance.

Probably means they’re ready to give Mooney another 10 year extension🤞🤞.
They gave him an extension this past offseason. You have to wonder what will happen if they don’t win the A10 tournament. That is their only path right now. Two Q4 losses at home have put a dagger in any hopes for an at-large bid.

FUR kind of reminds me of us last season. A veteran team with a lot of experience. Should be good but for some reason it’s just not working out
Don’t think they are going to lose 7 of their last 8 . They will be a tough out the rest of the year
certainly not going as they hoped but they have talent

Probably not but losing to Hofstra and La Salle at home is akin to the same thing. Not good. VCU had talent last year too so...

And we lost to Mason...at home...when we still had fans in attendance. UR's loss is always my gain. Can't help it. Just the way it is.

Sorry SpiderRam.

Westhamptons are another example of a good team that returns the majority of their lineup, but does NOT get better.
It happens a lot. Even before our awful last 8 games last season, we are a very meh 17-6 team.

It's weird, I remember when CoolRamFan told everyone that we should be jealous of Richmond.
