Westhamptons are another example of a good team that returns the majority of their lineup, but does NOT get better.
It happens a lot. Even before our awful last 8 games last season, we are a very meh 17-6 team.

It's weird, I remember when CoolRamFan told everyone that we should be jealous of Richmond.
I really miss CoolRamFan. I enjoyed our head to head battles. Did She get banned or leave on her own?

Looking at the box score against La Salle...

Gilyard- 5 pts (2-8 FG, 1-5 3pt, 0 FTA), 4 TOs, 3 PF... Also, Burton played all 40 mins.... whens the last time VCU had a player play all 40 mins of a game that ended in regulation? And Their bench produced all of 2 pts.

Meanwhile, LaSalle had a lot of production off their bench... 34 pts among 4 bench players... and only 2 players played more than 30 mins... but no more than 33... Plus La Salle was hitting their shots, where as Richmond was not.

He/she made a post on here when we lost at Rhody in Jan 2019 and didn't make another post until we lost to Mason at home in February 2020.
He/she claimed that they played bball at Saint Mary's and that Coach Randy Bennett would coach circles around MR. And.... they always defended WW. But..... Randy Bennett outcoached WW in the 2017 NCAAs.

Really weird job of trolling that I never understood.

Don’t think they are going to lose 7 of their last 8 . They will be a tough out the rest of the year
certainly not going as they hoped but they have talent

Fur still has the following games:
Saint Louis
@ Dayton
@ VCU
VCU
@ La Salle
@ Saint Louis
@ UMass

They also have the following makeup games:
Duquesne
@ St. Bonaventure

Of course they also have games against St. Joe's, GW, fmason and Fordham, but the the schedule listed above will not be easy. Of the games listed above, only three are home games and six are on the road. Two of those home games are against SLU and VCU.

They may not finish ninth, but their season is shaping up to be a gigantic disappointment. fur could very easily end up with a losing record in the A-10 after being pre-season #1 and miss the NCAA's. Especially, if the A-10 chooses to not have a post season tournament, or limits that tournament to the top teams. To me that does sound a lot like the $ht show VCU put on display last year.

La Salle has one of the more promising head coaches in the A-10. Ashley Howard was an assistant coach at Villanova for five years under the tutelage of Jay Wright. Prior to that, he spent one year on Chris Mack's staff at Xavier. He's also a Philly guy.

Yeah, that wasn't meant to be a knock on La Salle at all.. but on paper with all the guys richmond have back this year... and being pre-season #1 in the conference, and the game being at home... it's a game you would've expected richmond to win.

Kinda like last year down the stretch there were a couple games we lost... that on paper you would've expected us to win (GMU at home after already beating them once, also Duquesne on senior night)... so like you said in another post, sounds kinda like us down the stretch last year.

Top 25 is out and seems the big 10 and 12 are getting a lot of love for teams with around a 66% winning record and being ranked as high at top 10.

And then you have a team that has actually moved up in the polls from #25 to #22 who doesn't seemed to have played a game in weeks and not a single conference game.....St. Louis! WTF is that?!? I guess if we stopped playing before the start of conference season, we might be ranked now too!
BTW, St. Bonni got a few votes for top 25.

How many other teams can go a month without a win and rise in the polls? Besides Duke of course...
