It’s curious to me as to why Golden and Gilyard were allowed to talk to the press on this topic. No discipline from on high.

How is Ryan Colton involved in this entire issue. He is a Bucknell loyalist for sure. However, what does he have to do with Covid prevention.

After being asked in an interview about whether student-athletes who are a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case are quarantined for 14 days, Ryan Colton, senior associate director of athletic compliance and governance, referred The Collegian to two documents he sent in an email written on Feb. 20.

The documents were a PowerPoint titled “Athletic Department COVID-19 Response Plan” and the “University of Richmond Department of Athletics COVID-19 Impacts Question and Answer Document.” The documents did not specifically outline the length of the quarantine period for student-athletes deemed close contacts.

This is all a self imposed embarrassment which only makes VCU look like they are being run by high IQ geniuses.
These people are insane.

I just find it odd that they seem hellbent on finding out why the game was moved to VCU. It is easy. That was the first game in the series but UR went on pause. The other reason was due to the Women's tournament. O'Connor should ask Hardt if he planned to opt out of the March 6th game if they had won it. I am sure he would lie though.
I sound like a broken record, but moving the game to VCU was to help Richmond by giving them a guaranteed Q1 game.

University of Richmond athletics has proven time and time again that they're extremely capable of embarrassing themselves without any assistance. Look no further than the erasure of their men's soccer and indoor track teams in favor of starting lacrosse not even 10 years ago. Leigh Cowlishaw (former Spiders soccer star and Richmond Kickers coach) finished out their final season as interim coach and had this to say about the situation: “Really, I don’t have much more to do with the University of Richmond. It left a very, very bad taste in my mouth. … The only positive of me being involved for the season is that I was able to help a fantastic group of individuals”. I respect that university as a place of learning but their administration, particularly in athletics, is a real mess that seems completely beholden to the demands of a few massive donors up top and totally comfortable ignoring the opinions of the rest of their fans. The way they're carrying themselves in this situation should be expected, not shocking.

So let me get this straight.

The university of Henrico's team and their AD decide not to take the mandates seriously and get bitten by them. Allegedly infecting multiple players, if not most of them.

Then they complain that they didn't get enough games and weren't treated fairly?
I say sleep in the darn bed you made.

So someone explain to me what the Davidson/Bona game means for us and the reg season title. Assuming we win vs Davidson, can we win the title?
