Regarding bubble teams, Boise State took a tough Q4 loss to Fresno State last night and are quickly falling off the tournament bubble. They dropped from #34 to #43 in the NET. They may find themselves in the NIT if they get bumped from the MWC tournament early.

Thankfully this hasn’t impacted Utah State, which is #47 in the NET and a Q1 win for us.

So, everyone has been talking about unbalanced schedules this season. I went back and added up total number of games each A-10 team played this year. Below are the results:

Team Overall Conference OOC
La Salle 24 17 7
URI 24 17 7
VCU 23 14 9
Dayton 21 16 5
Mason 20 14 6
Davidson 19 11 8
Richmond 19 10 9
St. Joe's 18 12 6
SLU 18 10 8
St. Bonaventure 17 15 2
GW 15 8 7
Duquesne 15 13 2
Fordham 13 13 0
UMass 13 10 3

Not one team was able to play the maximum 27 regular season games.
GW only played half (8 games) of the A-10 schedule.
Richmond, SLU and UMass had the second lowest amount of A-10 games played at 10 each.
Fordham did not play any OOC games.
St. Bonaventure and Duquesne only played 2 OOC games.
UMass only played 3 OOC games.

Definitely a crazy and unusual year.

Only La Salle was able to play a full 18 game A-10 schedule.

LaSalle was 17 A-10

I would say we were 8 OOC (only D1) and 11 A-10 (St Joe counts even if we decided not to play)

The A-10 standings show La Salle as 6-12 in the A-10. That would be 18 games, unless you are using "Mooney" math.

Then the LaSalle Athletic Department must be wrong

2020-21 Men's Basketball Schedule - La Salle University Athletics (goexplorers.com)

Edit: Now I see the A-10 site has LaSalle playing UMass Twice on December 16

Atlantic 10

That site has been as mess. At one point they were showing games as cancelled and 4 days later still showing them in the totals...

St. Joe's over Lasalle 72-66.

I would like to point out that St. Joe's SG Cameron Brown, 2019 recruit, which vcu only showed interest, is starting over a former heavily vcu recruited top 50 2019 Dahmir Bishop.

Bishop was originally a big get for Xavier. What happened there?

He didn't play and left. Specifically, there's always been the story that when nova visited, a bunch of his family was at the game and he didn't even get on the floor, and that was a sore point. Allegedly.

Yeah, they should be 6-11. The standings on the A-10 site are incorrect.

Interestingly they do show UMass as correctly being 6-4 despite the erroneous extra game against La Salle they threw in.

There is a reason for that. Bishop was hurt and just came back against Richmond the other night.

Also, just because VCU talks to a player do not really mean that much. You could mention 50 to 100 players if you chose to.

I am a cam brown fan but its surprising lange isnt starting Bishop.

What, in your mind, is the reason? What parts of cam's game are better than Dahmir's?
