what do we already have on the books for 2018-19 OOC schedule ?
@Texas @ UVA, @ ODU, those I know for sure. @ Brooklyn for November Tournament, and now we need to find 10 teams to come to the STU and maybe not build our RPI, but build our confidence and W-L total with a young team.
Are we starting the LSU h2h next season?
Yes we are , forgot about playing the slumplord Tigers
Do we know if it's home or road next year?
The out of conference next year is tough. Can definitely do without another one of those neutral sites sudo home game deals we had with Seton Hall an Florida State games we had the last two years.
Right now, I just hate to think of a team without JT. We are probably going to miss him more than any other player that we have missed is quite sometime. Our offense sputtered badly without him yesterday. We have no "paint" players for next year. Next year will be scary. Especially with some of the impending departures.
I didn't name names, never will. But you are in denial if you don't think we will not have a couple of departures over the 4 that have to leave (3 seniors and 1 underclassman). Evans will be a point guard, we will be solid at that position. We do have a solid retuning group even minus that ones that are leaving. But, as you heard MR say, we need toughness. I expect him to go out and get some interior toughness.
I deleted my post as it broke my own rules. I will revisit in a few weeks. PhantomRam, I know you and I both know that there will be some changes and that Grad Transfer is our best short and long term solution if we have additional spots.
I believe you listed 5 games, including two in Brooklyn, so that leaves us 8 left to schedule. Also, I don’t believe the LSU game is a definite yet. It could happen next season, but isn’t definite.
Brooklyn is an exempt tournament, right, so it should only count as one game for scheduling purposes?
I think we play two games there. The other three teams are Cal, St. John’s and Temple.
Yes, play two, but counts as one.
I’ll defer to you on that one. I have never quite grasped the logic of exempt tournaments where a teams plays two games, but it only counts as one. So, 1+1=1? I need to consult my elementary school math teachers.
