We have upside when you look at how we are playing vs how we can play but your point is made....a quick look around the league and you see players playing at a very high level...St.Louis has a freshman that just torched their opponent with 6 made threes....six...heck I wish Crowfield would shoot it 6 times. Ur guards are filling it up...their point guard hasn’t had a single turnover in two games he has 4 ast/to and the Dayton team looks to be hitting on all cylinders.
We need to turn it up a notch.
I’m glad that MSS is playing his @ss off but if he ends up being our leading scorer at 13ppg we may have an issue.
Wait, you mean there are teams out there that start freshman? Are they ready?

Dusquene smoking Columbia 54-32 with 15 minutes left in the game

yes. They have a really good set of guards: Sincere Carry and Maceo Austin.

I have watched every team in the A10 play and some have gaudy records without much push back due to their OOC scheduling. Overall, it will help VCU later on although some with undefeated records or one loss are not going to have much in the way of SOS supporting their cause. That being said, most of them are going to be competitive when VCU gets them. Duquesne is an example. They have some very good guards that will cause trouble but the question is what is going to happen when they reach conference play. Reminds me of the year Coach Ferry had them coming into conference play with a great record against weak teams and then they fell flat.

The Dukes dont need to prove anything.

Dusquene is same team that went 10-8 in the a10 one year ago but they are year older. We beat them by 6 because they were without sincere Carry and their backup 6-11 big Rotroff. Both are back along with the Addition of Maceo Austin.

They are a tough out.

What Duquesne wins to date do you think are the most significant?

How can they prove anything at this point? They are playing good against really bad teams. They should be undefeated.

DL, are you talking about the same Rotroff averaging 0.6 ppg this season?

I know its counter to the culture in here, but Dayton is by far the team to beat in the A10 right now and it's not even close in my opinion. They have some intangibles that we don't have, for now. I've seen a number of the other teams play and I know it hard to compare because not all competition is the same, but right now, as of today, I see VCU as the 3rd or 4th best team in the league.
Dayton is playing like the team to beat in the A10. They are clicking on all cylinders, on both ends. I still think that when we are at our best we are better. Unfortunately, we have yet to play our best basketball, at least against quality competition.
