I'm really confused at the change in line up and playing time. I know it's a year later, but we lose basically one starter, have a bunch of seniors coming back from a team challenging for the conference championship and the line up simply seldom includes some players who were a big part of the mix that made us a really good team last year. If we were a better team because of those changes, well good. But we are decidedly not as good as last year. I'm not there in practice everyday and don't know a lot of what could be going on. But I'm a bit baffled.

It's a combo of A LOT of things, some of which I can't talk about in the open on here...
1. we lost 2 starters from last years, the biggest one being Danielle Hammond, as she had become unstoppable in the paint but also a blocking machine! Nyra... the other senior who graduated was very scrappy on defense as well.
2. Covid.... it's not the entirety of the issue, but its affected everyone.
3. Injuries... through out the season I know a couple of our players have been battling injuries... nothing super serious... but injuries none the less.
4. We've had 2 players disappear from the team, one happened over christmas/new year break I believe because they transferred... the other within the last month, month & a half. One I have a hunch as to why, the other I have absolutely no clue what happened.
5. and then yes, there's 1 player who rarely gets use... which I kinda sorta have an idea about as well.
6. Im also gonna give credit to the conference for getting stronger.... we all knew Fordham, Dayton & SLU were gonna be good & battle for the crown.... but Richmond has rebounded nicely.... and Rhody went from a perennial bottom feeder for the women... all the way up to a 4 seed in the A10.... def did not see that happening.

Thanks Rowdy, with covid and everything I have not been able to get to any games and have seen only a half dozen or so on TV, plus parts of a few. I like the players who are playing, just wondered about Petrova and Pashigoreva (pardon my spelling please) especially. I knew Hammond would be a big loss, and as good as Te Biasu is it is hard to replace a senior point guard with a freshman. We've usually played a pretty long bench and recently it's been 7 players with a few getting 2 or 3 minutes here and there.
