Does this thread exist somewhere that I'm not seeing? It's possible. Either way, if it doesn't, please feel free to post transfer news here.

I was looking for a thread to pop up focusing on who might fill the 5th scholarship for next season, I guess this one can fill that role as well 😉

Grad transfer offer: Kevin Marfo (Quinnipiac, 6'8 245)

Originally played at GW back in 2017 (went a combined 0-6 against us in two games but did score 5 points at the free throw stripe on 10 attempts).

Strengths: Rebounding (26.7% total rebound percentage), drawing fouls. Solid shot blocker.
Weakness: Shooting (sub-50% 2p% all three seasons...which ain't good for a big)

It will be interesting to see how this goes. Recruiting by coaches is currently shut down. NLIs aren’t allowed right now. Visiting campuses is challenging. This might not be the best summer to transfer or be a recruit that is still on the market, unless you already know where you’re going.

Its gonna be an odd year for sure. However, all we need is some outside the box thinking. Coaches who think outside the box will come up winners this summer and ultimately next season.

Some stiff competition for this guy but appears like he would be a big get. Also would address one of our biggest weaknesses from last season.

Like Heel said, this is a tough summer for Transfers since there will likely be no visits. Good thing is that Marfo will at least be familiar with our program from 2017. Lets grab him.

Natty -

To date, Mike and his staff have shown little appetite for, and salesmanship/resolve in getting, D-1/grad transfers. Think about it......his D-1/GT reach thus far has only been with dudes he originally coached and/or recruited and/or from Richmond........Evans, Douglas, Gilmore, Lane.

His JUCO reach has been weak......Simms, Jackson.

His International reach has been non-existent.

He seems to be set on using the HS 4-yr route.

We’ve left so much potential talent on the table......

We need a defensive bruiser, and I bet his % of shots picks up when he is on the end of some pocket passes from Bones
