With all respect DL, Wade hasn't been at LSU long enough to have a track record of getting elite bigs to the NBA. And most elite bigs are going to the NBA as long as no one messes them up.
With all due respect, inferring that Efton Reid and.his parents violated NCAA rules and committed a felony by taking bribes from LSU without any proof..just inuendo from a Pitt article is worse.

Efton is a local who has probably played in front of alot the VCU fanbase here, the coaching staff offered him a scholarship.

By all accounts, the family has an impeccable reputation and deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Lets not forget, Capel own blemished past before writing off Efton's involvement with Wade

In 2011, Oklahoma fired Capel because one of his assistants violated 2 NCAA rules related to Tiny Gallon accepting a $ 3,000 personal loan during his recruitment.

But former OU center Keith “Tiny” Gallon said in interviews he accepted a $3,000 loan from a Florida financial adviser to pay for his high school transcripts to be released so he could enroll at OU.

According to the report, Taliaferro was guilty of two major infractions — failing to notify school officials of an improper benefit and lying to NCAA investigators in his first interview.

Taliaferro denied any involvement in or knowledge of a benefit during his first interview on Jan. 13, 2011.".

Dude! Wade was caught on a wire tap by the feds and ended up in an HBO documentary. He said, strong ass offer. Is it surprising to you that people are bashing and making fun of that? Sheesh

Most schools require you settle your accounts before the transcript will be released (otherwise they'd never get paid). I doubt this was a transcript fee, just a balance due on the student's account

And Capel was fired because his assistant NCAA investigatation reports CONFIRMED that he LIED about the $ 3,000 personal loan to Tiny Gallon!!!

On paper, Wade is a better coach than Capel (especially with bigs!!). The bigs all know it..he was in on Cockburn. Wahab, Eschiewe, Akok and about half a dozen other top 100 bigs early since his arrival at Pitt and closed on ZERO of them!!

Zero, Niet, Cero!!! None!!

Why Efton would play for a coach who hasnt had a talented big since Blake Griffin (13 years ago) is beyond me.

Yeah, when it comes to bigs ..I would choose Wade over Capel 7 days a week and twice on Sunday without any financial incentive.

When, if ever, are you going to acknowledge that Frank cheats when it comes to recruiting? There will always be scrutiny and questions when a high level recruit commits to LSU.

Are you going to acknowledge that its wrong to impugn former vcu targets that our staff has heavily scouted without any proof?

Unless a real insider were to dm me with real proof of wrong doing like in the Carl Hall situation. I am going to give the benefit of the doubt to Efton Reid, Cameron Thomas, James Bishop and any other former VCU target that goes to LSU.

Since you like to provide information, can you share stats on how Frank's bigs are doing in the NBA today?

Basketball analysts were making fun of it after the commitment. People are ragging on Wade not Reid. Get over it.

So you are trotting out the "everyone else is doing it" line as an acceptable defense?

Nope. You cant say Wade did something wrong without inferring that Efton and his family also violated NCAA rules and taking a bribe.

How about doing the right and pragmatic thing and not say a dayum thing inferring anything until there is proof?

You never know. Who is to say the prospect of getting Efton wont come up again like it did with Wahab?

I am not trotting out anything other than your predictions and comments are usually way off.

Lets talk facts:

NO, HE NEVER PICKED PITT

...
Reid was initially expected to make his college choice in mid-April, but inexplicably that never happened. Reid's mother then tweeted his decision would come on May 7, another date that came and went without a college choice.

Amid the confusion a fake Twitter account emerged to announce Reid had committed to Pittsburgh, one of the schools to which he had narrowed his choice, complete with a photoshopped image of Reid in a Panthers jersey
