correct if i’m wrong, but there’s no world in which dayton gets an at large. right?
right. these guys have it a tossup between us, Day and STL for the auto.correct if i’m wrong, but there’s no world in which dayton gets an at large. right?
This has been one of the stranger college basketball seasons across the country that I can recall. Thus, there is probably a world in which the A-10 gets 2 teams in, with either Dayton, SLU, or even VCU, getting an at-large. I'm not sure where that world exists, but given the way this bizarre season has gone, it's out there somewhere.correct if i’m wrong, but there’s no world in which dayton gets an at large. right?
We certainly muddied it up as has Dayton. However, it could happen. However, if its VCU or Dayton they will have to at the very least have to run the table and then get to the finals of the conference. This has been one of the stranger college basketball seasons across the country that I can recall. Gonzaga doesn't need D efficiency period.
VCU and Dayton proving once again that winning isn't good enough. You have to destroy your opponents to get anywhere in the NET.VCU remains at #81 in the NET.
Dayton dropped 3 spots to #71 despite winning last night, while SLU dropped 4 spots to #89.
YOu also have to consider what everyone else does. Vand losing by almost 60 didn't help us and honestly its a wonder we didn't. drop like Dayton did. One of the things that moved Dayton down was not only their low efficiency but consider UNLV who ws before them picked up an 11pt road win moving them aheadVCU and Dayton proving once again that winning isn't good enough. Yep, Vandy dropped 14 spots from one game, which has to ripple into every one of their opponent's numbers. Apparently that balances a two-point road win against a team in the middle of the NET pack.YOu also have to consider what everyone else does. Actually no, it is, was and will be about just winning for us. 25 games my friend. 100% success rate. If we do what we are supposed to do, we are just fine. We aren't.Ding ding ding. What everyone else does matters a lot now. It’s not just about winning anymore. It’s about how much you win by and where/how much your opponents and all of their opponents win and lose by.
Dropped two spots in the NET because Jacksonville tumbled from 189 to 217 after being blown out by then-#293 North Florida.
