Matt Brady’s grind.
Ranking: No. 48
Jackson is a guard that Maryland has been invested in. He’s starting to climb up the rankings and rightfully so given his elite athleticism and versatile scoring ability from the lead guard position. Maryland has hosted Jackson for an unofficial visit this fall already. Now that he has blossomed into a top-50 prospect, I expect more schools who haven’t yet offered to get involved, but up to this point Maryland, VCU, Seton Hall, Penn State, Minnesota, Ole Miss and Cal are the high majors who have officially offered the New Jersey native.
Jahnathan Lamothe
Ranking: No. 90
Lamothe comes in ranked at No. 90. AAU Teammate of Kwame Evans, he was productive as a primary ball-handler for Team Durant throughout the summer. Once the June 15th date arrived, over two dozen high major programs offered or contacted Lamothe and began recruiting him. The Terps have already hosted him for an unofficial visit and are looking to set up an official visit with the sharpshooting 6-foot-4 guard. A Baltimore native, Lamothe holds Maryland in high regard as he cuts his list to 10 on December 12, Maryland should feel good about seeing their name included.

Carrington is another high-ceiling guard who Maryland is tracking closely. When it’s all said and done, they should have a great chance with him given a multitude of factors. Now nearing 6-foot-4, Carrington stood just 5-foot-9 as a freshman and has since emerged as a shooter that can fill it up quickly from three and mid-range. He’s an extremely hard worker, which leads me to believe by the time his senior year is over, he’ll be a much more confident and complete player. Carrington will play for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore alongside Lamothe. Up until last month, he was a bit of an unknown prospect, but used the EYBL Circuit with Team Melo and other camps to bring light to his name. George Mason, Rutgers and VCU are other programs that have begun recruiting Carrington with some aggression as of late.
