That being said I don’t really think the 2023 class is a make or break year for us. Odds are ace and Nunn will be back that year and get a lot of the minutes at the guard spots. 2024 will be our big year to get guards to back fill them. but we’ve shown we can attract guards like silas and Freddie

Definitely seems like we’re ending up on top 5,8,10 list out of courtesy for many of the targets. It’s cool for a mention but if we’re not landing any it’s pretty bitter sweet tbh.

I'm getting to feel like we are their "safety" school if their other offers fall through.
That said, we are a pretty stacked program on paper with viable backups are every position.

I agree on the first part. I don’t know I would consider us stacked though. I guess that depends on a individual’s definition of stacked. If by stacked you mean we have lots of depth then absolutely. If by stacked we’re saying we have a nationally ranked talent across the board every year not so sure on that. We haven’t been ranked in years and our NCAAs the last decade have been pretty lackluster (Besides the one we didn’t get to play in of course.). Come to think of it I don’t remember the last time we were ranked?

For a lot of these croots I think they are/we're genuinely considering us, but then blew up and recieved a bunch of offers by higher level schools. That's just how recruiting goes, you're gonna miss on most of your targets unless you're a Blueblood or contender program.

But that’s just it. We’re not just facing the reputations and names anymore. We’re fighting again money we simply can’t hang with unless we find national treasure under Siegel Center. It’s not simply us saying hey we can get you to the nba like these guys. It’s saying we can pay you too. And we can’t. Each passing year the gap will get bigger. There’s only so much we can do work around it. NIL in its current state will effective exterminate mid majors and the non power schools eventually.

Maybe, maybe not. The money was always there for the top guys. It's just no longer under the table.

I like his game! looks to have a mature game. Which I expect from kids that play in European pro leagues

It was there but they couldn’t just fling it out there all crazy level. Now you can literally buy a winning team and don’t have to hide it at all. Might as well become baseball. There’s a difference between rich program flinging some cash under the table here and there vs straight up writing checks with no regulation at all.
