Matas Buzelis had quite a crowd of coaches following his performance on Friday.
6'10 240 pound Brandon White out of NC.
No offer yet but we seem to be watching him now.
White has always had the upside, he has been known as one of the premier rim protectors in his region. However, over the last year, the 6-foot-10 White has become one of the premier low post defenders in the country. White is now showing an ability to score on the block, with a go to over his left shoulder. Tonight, with Team United (N.C.) 16s, White finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocks. Providence, VCU, Marquette, Cincinnati and Wake Forest were some of the programs taking in the contest.

“Class of 2023 point guard Elmarko Jackson has been seeing his recruitment take off throughout the summer. The 6-foot-3 point guard, 185 pound guard is planning visits to VCU, Seton Hall, Cal Berkely among others and is also being pursued hard by VCU and Maryland.
VCU: “That relationship is also nice. We got a WeR1 guy who goes there Nah’Shon “Bones” who will hopefully get drafted in the next coming days. He was doing his thing out there, and they play a free offense which is quick in transition and I like to play that way as well. Coach J.D Byers called me as soon as the live period started saying he was interested in me and offered to try to set up some visits.”
The lanky and smooth 6-6 Williams, a 4-star recruit on the wing, is the No. 1 small forward prospect in the state’s Class of ’23 and a deadeye shooter with a silky stroke from downtown. Alabama, Maryland and VCU are the schools showing the most interest in him right now.
Michigan and Michigan State are said to be circling and poised to put offers forth in the near future. He visited Michigan State two weeks ago and has used the offseason to work on his move to the rack and finishing at the rim, not to mention becoming a more complete baseline-to-baseline player.
Curtis has really focused on his slashing and refining his rebounding technique, but he has also turned a lot of heads scouting wise with his play on the defensive end,” Palmer said. “He’s guarded the opposing team’s top player and has consistently locked them down.”
The 6-4 Blackwell runs the point for the Warriors and is the son of University of Illinois alum Glynn Blackwell (Highland Park). His recruiting exploded in the offseason. Rhode Island, VCU, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Oakland University, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan have all offered since the start of spring.
“I think John is the best kept secret in his class, he’s tough as nails and everything you want in a big, strong floor general,” Palmer said. “On the recruiting front, he’s clearly made tremendous strides and his getting more interest by the day. The pacing of the game has really slowed down for him and he’s blossoming as a playmaker as a result.”
VCU and Coastal Carolina have also offered him this July. He also holds offers from Western Carolina and Radford and is getting recruited by Tennessee, Wake Forest, NC State, Liberty, Clemson, Elon, Mercer, Old Dominion, Loyola-Chicago, Temple, Virginia Tech, George Washington, Penn, Tulsa, Bucknell and College of Charleston.
