Since we are talking about this stuff. I know VCUHeel and he is a big fan. He lost his father this year and it was tough on him. His father was also a big fan and a fine man. Just wanted to say that. Good people.

I am sorry to hear of his loss. He's clearly a passionate fan who wants the program to succeed at the highest level possible.

Yeah, how about we change the thread title and cut him a little slack? I have my disagreements with him but this is excessive.

It was a net positive for both Hassan and us. He got paid and we just had a season with the best inside game since the years of Mo, Tillman and MSS.

Yeah tough year for a family that attended games together for years. Knowledgeable fan, and he has his opinions.

Is it really necessary to call out someone in the title of a thread? Agree or disagree with Heel, no one deserves to be called a name, especially in a thread title.

Hassan did what he had to do for his family. I do not understand why some of our fans cannot understand that point. Iowa State offered him a grip of money. His family needed that money to survive.

I dont know about you but I put my family first. We say we are Ramily and that's cool and all but who is really going to pay your bills, put food on the table, ensure your sisters and mom are provided the basic things they need? As a young man, if you have to step up at any personal cost you do so.

Instead of ridiculing the kid we should be supporting him. He hasn't bad mouthed Mike, his teammates, RVA, or the program. But some on this forum have certainly bad mouthed him.

There is no reason for that.

Are we certain he got a bunch of money? I ask because if he is still on a visa to be in the country, then there is a major limit on money he can get.

I’ve had my agreements and disagreements with him. He obviously knows his stuff. Whether he does or doesn’t, he shouldn’t be called a name in a thread title.

So, I'll pose this question to those whose opinions matter, as a couple of times here I've had it pressed up my Ram snout in true Spider fashion that my opinion as a fan who isn't in the position to back up his love with his wallet doesn't matter as much... is it OK for a lesser than life fan to be proud of the team he loves that, despite some pretty clear to me deficiencies, injuries and more, they accomplished dominating their conference in every way imaginable and being granted one more game? Yes Is it OK to feel the NCAAT is but a chance at another game instead of what appears to be in every way, but an overly blown financial grab at every level akin to Valentine's Day? Yes

Or is that grounds for mental health assessment? No Should I check myself in? No After 4 years working in the field I know how to game that system, so rather than entry-level TDO, should I look at higher-level stuff like restraints and IM medication? Maybe? Just kidding.
