With just 15 seconds left on the game clock, Ace Baldwin, Jr. pulled up from 17-feet to give the Rams the go-ahead field goal in their 61-59 win over the Davidson Wildcats.
Baldwin would finish the night with a game-high in both points and assist with 14 and 7, respectively. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and 2 steals to round out his evening.
The Rams (17-6, 8-2 A10) fought back from a 9-point with just 2:37 on the clock in the first half. Overall the Wildcats held the advantage for nearly 70% of the matchup.
The Rams, in contrast, only held they lead for just over 6 minutes—with their largest lead coming from a 3-0 advantage to start the game.
VCU was uncharacteristically cold from long range as they finished the night with a goose egg on nine attempts.
But what the Rams lacked in long distance shooting, they made up for in the paint where 42 of their 61 points were scored.
Jalen DeLoach contributed all 12 of his points in the paint to go with his 9 rebounds.
