I lived in the mini 3 story building next to Rhoades Hall that is where Brandt Hall stands now. IMO, that was the best spot on campus to live.

I lived there too.....above the multipurpose room. We used to put our speakers out on the little overhang and sit out there blasting Buffet, Pink Floyd and Bob Marley. I'm kind of amazed that VCU police and/or security never, ever came along and told us we couldn't sit out there or that it was dangerous (like they probably would today).

I wish. Actually it's a musical tour. A blue grass musician friend of ours did study abroad there and fell in love with the people so kept going back. She also found a cast of musicians whose traditional music sounded a lot like the traditional music of Appalachia she grew up with. So, she started playing with them, arranged to have some come to the US and play at blue grass festivals and she takes tours of musicians over to play with them. Unfortunately I'm probably not even going to get a look at Everest.
