Here's my summary ( @MobileMunchies feel free to pile on your observations from behind the bench)
Bones came into the gym probably 5 minutes or less before their game was supposed to tip, Ace and Jamir came in as part of his entourage. The buzz out there noticeably picked up when he stepped out. He changed his shoes took like three or four warm up shots and the game began. Oh and just before it started he didn't like how the Loveday jersey fit I guess so he took it off and pulled out an official NBA undershirt out of his backpack and put on, I thought that was a nice touch! The rims at Henrico High must be a little off compared to those NBA rims because he really struggled from three, I think all night he only hit one possibly two out of probably 8 or 9 attempts. I was hoping to see him launch one from near half court but he never did. Most of his highlights came from iso plays and drives to the hoop as well as some nice steals in the mix one of which lead to a breakaway dunk. He was not exactly giving 100%, a lot of times he did not try to even pretend he was getting back on defense which to me and a few guys sitting around me that I was chatting with was entirely understandable, this wasn't an NBA game. This isn't the game that is going to earn your bread but there were some haters in the crowd talking some crap over that still. Regardless it was fun as heck and getting to see those things shown in the highlight reels posted live and in person will be one of the highlights of the summer I'm sure. He did not play the 4th quarter and started to pack his things and head out with his guys just a few minutes into the 4th and when he left a good chunk of the crowd started to file out as well. It was a tie game going into the 4th but the other team ended up winning by 10-15.

Durrant screwed the pooch about any future championship legacy he might have when he started having whining fits on twitter and then walked away from the real championship team called the Warriors. The Warriors are going to go down in the history books with the likes of Chicago and the Celtics. Apparently Durrant didn't realize it takes a team mentality to be a winner.

Brown and KCP pickups are nice. This gives Denver some solid defensive additions.
Of course, this will all be dependent on Jamal Murray. If he can come back strong, the sky is the limit for this team. They have a superstar smack in the middle of his prime, a few snipers as supporting cast, and a great bench.
If they stay healthy, this is a championship level squad. The time is now for these guys. All in for a title run.

The Jazz just raped the Wolves. Gobert is a great defensive player that can’t play offense in a league that’s won with offense.

My wife, while at CFB in Richmond, hired Will Hardy’s (Utah Jazz’s new head coach) mom. When acquired by Wachovia, they left and formed their own consulting agency. Will is a fine young man. Learned a lot from Popavich.

Vegas disagrees:
Minnesota's odds to win the NBA title moved from 80-1 to 50-1 at Caesars Sportsbook after the trade. Utah's odds moved from 50-1 to 100-1.
Longer term who knows? The picks are unlikely to be in the lottery but both Beverly and Beasley are on expiring contracts, so it would seem this is the second step in the Jazz trying to assemble a compelling package for a notable trade (Royce O’Neal trade being the first). Success or failure boils down to what the Jazz make out of their side of the deal. That said, TWolves just got markedly better by improving their interior defense which was a sieve. It seems like a reasonably balanced trade given where each team is at currently.

The TWolves’ chance of winning a title was zero before and remains zero.
Golbert could have been a really good player on a great NBA team 10, 20, 30 years ago. He’s a lot better than Luke Longley. The NBA has changed. His game does not work in the current NBA offensive schemes.

The professional Oddsmakers give them a decent shot, I’ll go with them on this and you if I need to be anesthetized. Gobert is no maestro on the offensive end, but he is serviceable…..Twolves have KAT anyway, he is a walking bucket and will be relieved of being the primary big on D. Rudy can defend all five spots, protect the rim and board, he is made for this era defensively, but if you don’t like him, you don’t like him. I still hold it was a balanced trade, not quite how you described it so eloquently….
