Good for him. Congrats and knock em dead.

Article, mentions the team name, Darius' stats his Senior year. His being a good leader, and solid defender, and the guy he replaced. VCU being in the A10 and being a good team, defeating Akron in the NCAA's. Says Darius joins the team September 1st.

I think Brandon Rozzell played with this team in 2011. Also former Drexel forward Sammy givens was on the team this past year as well. They are one of the better teams in Holland.

I added the team link.

Here's a picture of the city of Leeuwarden from Wikipedia:

Looks like a pretty sweet place to live!

Also, apparently M.C. Escher is from Leeuwarden. Good stuff.

Man, if I could pick any place to be born, it might be the Netherlands. They're consistently in the top 10 when it comes to happiness and intergenerational social mobility, and also you can pee in the street when you are drunk:

Too bad he's not getting paid in 2007-2008 euros....

Congrats to Darius.

I get that the NBA is the obvious ultimate goal, but how cool is it to move to a sweet city across the world where someone pays you to play basketball? In some ways I find that cooler than the NBA. I think the best path to the NBA is through Europe. What a great life experience (and way to see the world).
