Thanks for posting, Pav .... just last week "Bodine" ran a back to school youth camp (lots of goodies) at Danville Y for the kids ... there's an article on it with an up to date photo of the former Rams' great in last week's Richmond Free Press.

A couple of Richmond roundball legends, Ray Neblett and Jesse “Bodine” Dark, are teaming up to serve Danville area youths.
Wow, small world! My first job in high school was lifeguarding at the Danville YMCA back in the 2000s and Coach Bo would come by and share small talk with me sometimes. I knew he had some history in the league but I never knew until now that Coach Bo and Jesse Dark were one and the same! Awesome to see that he's still hanging around, their facility today is so much nicer than what we had then.
A bit of history .... in 1969-70, Bodine was too old as a senior to play for nearby Maggie Walker High .... so after school he walked to Franklin Street Gym and practiced with coach Benny Dees' Rams ... he even made some bus road trips with VCU .... At Walker, the strong 6-4 guard-forward
helped the Green Dragons to the State VIA (segregated) title in 1968 under coach Stretch Gardner.
