Most recent OVs were to VCU and Minn. I have been concerned all along that he has the proverbial chip for the lack of high level offers until recently, and that he will wait until spring. If that happens, as the phenom report suggested, there will likely be a dozen more P5 programs sniffing around.Where is this cat leaning? Too many posts to read through while at work.
Wonder if Jarren can get him down to the B&G game?
“I want to go somewhere I can play and have the ball in my hands when I step on the court.”
The quote is about him having the opportunity to play point guard. It has nothing to do with playing time as a freshman.Sounds like ECU if he wants the best shot at early playing time.
"He plans to take his final two visits to Virginia Tech and NC State, but doesn’t have a time table on them yet. He says he’s also picked up offers from ECU and SMU, and is hearing the most recently from VCU, SMU, NC State, Georgetown and ECU.
While he’s in no rush to make a decision, Seabron says he wants to enjoy it but get it over with at the same time. He wants to weight his options and says that he’ll likely make a decision during the season at some point toward the end of December or beginning of January. According to him, it’s going to come down to where he feels wanted the most.
“I want to go somewhere I can play and have the ball in my hands when I step on the court.”
Expect Seabron to continue to see more and more high major coaches come in before his decision is made, but whenever it is made they’ll be getting a versatile guard with good size and a high ceiling. A win for any coaching staff."
To be fair, VCU will also have 6 PG/SG including Seniors Evans, DJ, Simms, and Crow along with soph Curry and PJ and our incoming recruit Mcallister.Just my 2 cents, but....NC State and Minny seem like a place he'll be recruited over quickly, and with forethought and malice
VaTech is a rising program in a killer conference...BUT...they have 2 PG recruits (Harris and Gordon) and a boatload of SG's...their roster has around 6 PG/SG players as freshman/sophomore PLUS the 2 cats committed for next year...seems like a bad fit.
ECU?!?!?! If we can't beat out ECfrickinU for a player than god help us all. Plus they have a dog pile of SG's in house and young.
C'mon son......VCU!!!!

And we have beer at games.Yea, but Evans/Crow/DJ/Simms will be seniors his freshman year...with only PJ/Curry/McAllister with him for years 2,3,4. That's a much more tenable road to PT and personal growth compared to the Freshman/Sophomore scrums at the aforementioned schools.
My overriding point is that VCU offers a better road to PT and whatnot...
