other than the football point i really don’t get that. all of those teams have higher nets than a10 teams, and with the likes of la salle, umass, duquesne, gw, and fordham in the conference it’s hard to argue that most of them don’t have bigger athletic budgets.
The only basketball only school I would consider would be Charleston joining the A-10. None of those other schools have had any consistent success recently in basketball. And Pitino is old, and will not be at Iona much longer. Also, Archie Miller is now at Rhode Island and they didn't even make your cut. UMass also now has Frank Martin as their head coach. And where is St. Bonaventure in your list? St. Bonaventure's all-time record against VCU is now 8-8, and they didn't even make your cut.



And FYI, VCU has already been in the same conference with half of those schools, and their basketball programs have gone in the wrong direction. Especially since they have moved up to FBS football.
