Better?ummm that’s a stretch to call Mr Garfunkel modern. But hey, let’s go with it! LoL…
I’m going with the famous architect Art Vandelay.
And you want to be my latex salesman. SMHHe and his wife are fighting because he wants to do the importing but not the exporting.
Or perhaps the clause was initiated by Ryan.Better to be ready for any eventuality if possible. But that's interesting.
Kids say the darndest thingsYou’ve got to be an old geezer to remember this Art.
Meanwhile, a nice reminder of why we left the CAA (this is baseball, but humor me here):
This is a possibly important development. AAU membership is a really big deal. And the Big Ten values it a lot. UNC and UVA are already AAU members, but this makes them adding Notre Dame and Miami more possible too. USF being on the list too is interesting.
They’re not taking any of the full time ACC teams anytime soon unless enough schools can get together to end the Grant of Rights agreement. And that doesn’t seem likely to happen in the near term. If and when things shake out so that ACC teams can leave without committing financial suicide, I think both UNC and UVA will be their primary targets. I could see them adding Miami too. A lot of UNC fans that I know really want the move to happen. There’s no way for ACC schools to remain competitive in the long term if they’re bringing in $20, $30, $40 million less per year from the conference compared to what SEC and Big Ten schools are bringing in with their conference revenues.Notre Dame is closer now to the Big 10 than it has ever been. Finally, the Big 10 Academic Alliance/ Committee on Institutional Cooperation will cool their opposition to ND. This was the single greatest barrier to ND joining the Big 10- yes, greater than the NBC contract. I'm guessing they take 1 eastern school, either UVA, UNC, or maybe Miami now as a dark horse.
