Got a bit bored, so I thought I'd use kenpom to see how the remaining AAC looks compared to the A10. Since 2014:
ECU, USF = Fordham (14th)
Tulane = GWU (13th)
Temple, Tulsa = Richmond (7th)
Memphis = Davidson.(3rd)
SMU = VCU (1st)
WSU = VCU (1st) if only counting AAC seasons, and is significantly higher when adding in MVC years.
5 of the remaining 8 remaining AAC teams would be below 7th in the A10.
While it'd be nice to share a conference with Memphis, WSU and SMU, the AAC isn't a clear upgrade in my eyes, especially when you consider that SMUs and WSUs numbers are bouyed by the first half of the dataset (when SMU was led Larry Brown and WSU was in the MVC).
