So many posts on that thread that make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Funny to see how many of them are finally realizing how much they shot themselves in the foot with that football program. Can't say I have much sympathy for the Monarchs, this was pretty much always the likely outcome and they ran right ahead and taunted us the whole way. Who's laughing now?

By and large that is one clueless group of people. Half their board thinks losing those 6 teams is a good thing and they're just going to back fill with Coastal, App State, Liberty and JMU.

Meanwhile it's being rumored that Marshall, who's probably the best brand CUsa has, is trying to leave for the Sunbelt. Why on earth would Coastal and App State go join a sinking ship?!

Some idiot even said they should add Richmond.

As always, after getting a stage 5 migraine trying to read the messages on that board (not just the content but the horrible formatting) I'm thankful for the work the guys here do on this message board. Such a better format and way easier to read.

I have a soft spot for UTEP after spending so much time working down in El Paso. Seems like it would make a whole lot of sense for them to move to a West-centric conference if at all possible.

Love the stadium and sun bowl...played high school football at Eastwood High School thru my sophomore year until we moved (again).
tough town back then

no kidding! small world, I helped put in a new telecom system for the school district there so I know Eastwood High very well. They got a brand new building a couple of years back and it looks like a community college campus now, it's really really nice you wouldn't recognize it at all haha
