So they're adding 3 teams that are a combined 6 - 15 so far this year. YAWN. I didn't bother to look to see how many of those 6 were against FCS teams or against each other. Sounds like great additions (major sarcasm alert).

It will be interesting to see what C-USA does. There were rumors that UMass might be an expansion option, but it seems like that is no longer the case. Obviously, C-USA could add UMass and UConn as football only members, but seems to also be losing traction. It also appears Liberty is no longer interested in C-USA with fodu, JMU and Marshall moving to the Sun Belt. UTEP may also end up in the MWC when the dust settles.

That would still leave Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee out there possibly looking for a new conference. Both have had decent basketball programs in the past, and would fit into the A-10 footprint with the exception of football.

I'm still watching Wichita State. If Memphis bolts from the AAC if the opportunity presents itself , you gotta believe Wichita State is also going to be looking for greener pastures. None of the incoming schools to the AAC are anywhere close in quality to what's leaving for the Big 12.

UTEP is in trouble. The MWC doesn't want them. What's left of C-USA is their only option.

Look for C-USA to add New Mexico State and one or two of the current d2 Texas schools (Sam Houston, Tarleton State, etc.).

I thought there used to be stricter stadium requirements to bump up to FBS? Did they do away with them? If I recall, one thing was having like at least 30k seats.

Seems like with all the teams making the jump to FBS, the low level conferences are kinda the new 1-AA.

I thought there was an attendance requirement as well. Oh well. There is no NCAA anymore.

So ODU spent all that money on football and trashed their basketball program so they could join the Sun Belt.

Ahahahahahaha. Dumb f#ckers.
To be honest, it's a better fate than they deserved, though it's kinda funny that they're now on par with JMU.

Sun Belt is gently expelling its two non-football members TX-Arlington and AR-Little Rock.
Maybe they can go to C-USA as they need more hoops schools.
