Then why did you suggest the Ukrops might be hesitant to partner with VCU if it wasn't due to their "past" fur connection? The Ukrops will do what's best for soccer in general.
I asked a question. I didn’t suggest a GD thing.

Maybe we should hit up whichever kid it is for some of that sweet Quirk boutique hotel money.

With the Ukrop’s family association with the Kickers, I wonder if there would be a hesitancy to partner with VCU.
aside from what has been mentioned, I'd think partnering with anyone to build a stadium would be a jump in weight class for the Ukrop's...but then I don't know their finances (only what I see in terms of sponsorship in 10ks and parades, etc.)

Just to take this thread off the rails...I was watching a documentary (I think on PBS) last night about Foosball. Brought back memories of college and a huge crush I had on a girl who was a wizard at the game...but I wasn't worthy (on many levels)
I shudder to think how many hours I spent playing that game at Crazy Charlie's back in the day. We were far too serious about it.

I was inside the old Best Products headquarters today. The US Secretary of Energy was in town for an introduction to the eco district plan. The arena is planned to be the greenest arena venue in North America. GreenCity will set standards of net zero energy, net zero water & best sustainability practices across its 204 acres at Parham Rd & I-95.

I’ve always wanted to see the inside of that building. I’m sad to see it potentially go but I’m pretty excited about this project. Those are some ambitious sustainability goals.

Has there been any updates on the possibility of extending public transit out there?

When I was working on my VCU MBA, I chose Best Products as a company to analyze for my Portfolio Management & Analysis class. Met with the CFO. Can’t remember his name, but Andrew Lewis, the founder’s (Sidney&Francis Lewis)Harvard educated son, was CEO. As you walked into the building they were several Andy Warhol prints of Campbell Soup cans in the foyer, some Marylin Monroe prints and I think a print of Andy’s sister sitting in a rocking chair bra-less and see-thru blouse on. Memory’s not what is used to be but they had several million dollars worth of art there. Andy subsequently flew that corporate plane into the side of the proverbial mountain. They had lots of money invested in quite a few extremely interesting architectural designs for their showrooms throughout the country. Seemed like a huge waste of money to me. One of their showrooms had a corner of the building on rails that the corner would move over to open the building. I didn’t exactly rate their stock a “ buy”!
