I hope I am around when it is completed. Really exciting. Just added three more trombones to the ole parade.

Should a better conference ever come calling it definitely gives us another bargaining chip having a arena that can host large games. We love SC but anyone who saw some of VCU CAA finals knows how wild a full large arena is for us. There’s a reason we rarely ended up on the short end in finals at RC.

Thank you for posting those maps because I didn't really have a concept of where this was going to be. I'm in Mechanicsville, so it will be SUPER convenient for me.

Now that I know approximately where it's going to be, I had a thought that I'm sure someone influential will come up with eventually. Henrico County is building a small arena at Virginia Center Commons, which will seat about 5,000. It would be an interesting idea to host a conference tournament where the first few games (lower attendance) are at the VCC arena, and then the later games are at Green City.

You mean so they can double the costs of transporting and setting up the court and double the amount of vendors involved?

I was pretty bullish on the Navy hill development. Thought once dominion got involved they would be able to push it through.

I know there's a big difference between a project of this scale in henrico vs Richmond but I'm still skeptical this is ever going to become more than computer generated images.

Is there any city that has ever seen so many proposed arenas/ball parks?!?

You are skeptical of Green City? Henrico is going to get it done on time and it will be complete in 2025. Bank on that. They own the old Best Product land and it is a high priority for the manager, board and EDA.

This is nothing. Read up on Manhattan's westside. Javits, Penn st./MSG, and the would be football stadium.

The City would paid millions for numerous studies...then focus the funds on ending environmental racism....Henrico will get the project done creating jobs and opportunities for all.
