Yeah bit of a downer to hear multiple times tonight on the espn2 broadcast how regardless of what happened in the game it’s going to need to be a sweep in BrooklynI am feeling better. We don't have the resume for an at-large (unless we run the table, lose in the A10 finals, the bubble is ridiculously weak and the committee feels like the A10 deserves 2 bids). I'm still frustrated we're out of at-large contention, but I've moved onto Conference play and am happy. Figure out enough offense when playing physical defenses and we can run the A10.
Tonight's game was a litmus test for me. We can win the Conference tournament (but could also lose the first game). Really important to get that 1 seed and avoid SLU/Dayton until the finals. We've set ourselves up for success in that regard. Big home game against the Flyers, they always play us tough at home. Wish it was a weekend game.
And 2 nights later Long Beach went to #1 Kansas & thumped the Jayhawks by 15 point on ESPN.Yep, #25 with Seth Greenberg as coach. One of the best played games I’ve seen for the Rams. Warren and mills were fantastic.
Can’t help being a bit concerned that we needed 37 out of Ace though. Given Johns and Deloach contributed but we seem very reliant on Ace. We better hope he’s not going anyway. Quite simply we go as far as Ace carried us.Basically, we have Ace and they don’t, so advantage: us.
That has been the case for the last 2 years. Can’t help being a bit concerned that we needed 37 out of Ace though. Given Johns and Deloach contributed but we seem very reliant on Ace. We better hope he’s not going anyway. Quite simply we go as far as Ace carried us.
Which always concerns me. When he has an off game we’re in trouble which really shouldn’t be the case when we have lots of capable talent. We get overly reliant on one player too often. That has been the case for the last 2 years.
Just enjoy this one.Which always concerns me. When he has an off game we’re in trouble which really shouldn’t be the case when we have lots of capable talent. We get overly reliant on one player too often.
If you look at the box scores of most of our games last night was more of an anomaly.Which always concerns me. When he has an off game we’re in trouble which really shouldn’t be the case when we have lots of capable talent. We get overly reliant on one player too often.
I’m just looking at the last few years. Late in the season we’ve relied heavily on one player and it’s come back to bite us at critical moments. Evans- Got hurt. We fell apart completely in the A10 tourney and NCAAs. Bones- Loss in the A10 championship badly. Vince- Loss in the first round badly. Ace played incredible but I hope this won’t become a trend again. Thankfully Ace had some help yesterday. If you look at the box scores of most of our games last night was more of an anomaly.
