What's the maximum amount of playing time a freshman is allowed to get before they're allowed to redshirt? I wonder if Jarren has surpassed that, because I feel like he's kinda wasting a year of eligibility otherwise

For college basketball, as soon as they play in a regular season game, the redshirt opportunity is gone. Football has a little more flexibility (I think you can appear in a max of 4 games and still redshirt).

For a player than can fit at multiple positions, Imagine where he could be with 15 minutes a game since early on.
