Strengths:
Crowfield has a terrific frame with long arms, nice shoulder width, and room for growth. His shooting touch is feathery and he has ideal size and feel for the point guard position as he created plays for his bigs off of dribble penetration. His range on his jump shot extends out to 22-feet and he gets great lift on his shot. His release is impeccable and he always appears to be on balance. When attacking off the dribble, he changes speeds and utilizes the pump fake to get defenders off balance. Once he gets into the lane he unleashes a floater or he'll deliver a pin-point wrap-around pass to an open teammate.

Weaknesses:
Crowfield needs to continue to tighten his handle (dribbles high at times) and work on attacking with his left hand against pressure. In addition, he needs to continue to learn how to manage a half court offense, move without the ball, and direct his teammates at both ends.

Bottom Line:
After one showing it became clear that Crowfield will be a national recruit sooner rather than later. He has the length, ball skills, and shooting stroke to be a high-major recruit.

This came out of (almost) nowhere. Congrats to Crowfield and welcome aboard. I wonder if we're done now (might be awkward if Ottey is still coming this weekend).

Marcus's decision affected Malik's decision
or
Malik's decision affected Marcus's?
Marcus Ottey is/was scheduled to visit VCU this weekend. VCU was already out of scholarships prior to Crowfield committing. Unless VCU has more than one current player leaving, other than the two seniors, the cupboard is definitely full now.
