8 years ago we lost two games in the Charleston Classic. A middle of the BE Seton Hall won by 15. Then a tied for last in the ACC Georgia Tech beat us by 13.

Yup, no improvement.
You know, I was thinking about that tournament earlier today. People are acting like this is rock bottom, that outing was rough! Yet, we managed to do OK that season. These tournaments aren't the end of the world.

I'm sure Marcus is being really hard on himself after this weekend. It happens. My only concern as a novice basketball viewer is the assists. 1 assist in 2 days as a PG is just really low. I see some dudes getting 6,7,8,9 of these per game instead of 2/3.

I know people have said we move the ball around a lot so they would expect a lower average than some play styles but still hes a primary ball handler, senior leader, and play-maker. I suspect the staff needs to draw some stuff up to help him find ways to hit open guys.

100% support this guy and hope his mind, body, coaches and teammates all help him have the season he wants to have!

Marcus is more of a scoring guard than a point guard. He’s a volume shooter and an aggressive offensive player. IMO, the ideal situation would be for him to play off the ball and let another player (Bones) run the point. Our problem is that we don’t currently have a third PG, so we could really only do this for about 10 minutes a game.

I will only take about the numbers. Jacob Gilyard and Fats Russell need our attention. I didn't include OBI T in the top two as he hasn't shown he can get his teammates involved but he also needs our attention. Also being Top 10 in turnovers and not being top 10 in assist is not a good thing

Who says he was sick?
I think I read Purdue fans mentioned seeing him do it behind the bench close to where they were sitting several times during the game. The fact he didn’t use this as an excuse says a lot about him. Particularly when faced with criticism from some of our own fans on social media!
