For the second consecutive year VCU forward, Jarren McAllister, will miss the season following an ACL tear.
The redshirt sophomore tore his ACL in his right knee in practice this week. He missed all of last season after tearing his left ACL in a game against Penn State.
“It’s just devastating once again after watching Jarren’s daily approach to get back on the court from last year’s injury. He’s an amazing young man who will again grind and rehab under the care of our medical staff and will get back with his teammates,” said Rams Head Coach Mike Rhoades.

Looks like the early season Bahamas tourney will not be the stepping stone to the post season. I know we have not played anything yet, but you need warm bodies and it’s getting shorter by the week.

Sux yes...end of season...ha...don't forget we're a stacked team even with these injuries. We've lost two good slashers to the basket with Jarren and Jamir out. But Curry is back and he's fearless driving to the hoop (if his FT % can improve, all the better). Don't forget Vince drives and shoots the 3 very well. And Josh came on strong end of season and should continue to improve. Fill in the new guys and the only thing that can hurt us is if we let these set backs take over their thoughts.
