I am NOT disappointed in Mikeal. I am disappointed in how little he was used. Not good on the coaching staff's part in my opinion. Brown-Jones was used sparingly as a replacement for Vince on Saturday. Instead of riding with him they decided to go with 3 guards with Banks. To this day I do not understand why DeLoach and Brown-Jones were not used as a partner with Ward or Stockard.

I don't think it's too surprising. He wants start and that's not happening here. He is a good player a team guy but he wants to start. Vince and Curry both leave. Leaves two spots. Vince stays (he told me he wasnt hope that was just emotion)

MBJ is an old school 4 at this level. He doesnt shoot exceptionally well from the outside. He doesnt have a great handle and he doesnt have moves outside the post. He in effect is a glue guy, a utility give who is an opportunistic scorer and in effect a junk man. Although valuable, that doesn't fit the starters role for this team

Look up front you have returners Deloach and Ward. Plus you have a 4 star top 100 Fermin coming in all fighting for 1-1.5 spots (.5 meaning sometime starter).

Then on the wing you have 4 star, top 100, local guy Billups returners Kern, Jamir, and McAllister all locking in on that position.

Nunn and AB start no questions.

So where does MBJ fit? As a starter he doesnt. So yes, he transfers. Due to Covid he has 3 years of eligibility left and hopefully he lands in a good spot. The kid gave us energy, he gave us points, and he competed hard. We are all grateful and thankful for his presence. (SEE Dayton)

His leaving opens a spot for us and he may benefit as well . Its' a win, win.

I wish him the best.

Go Rams!

#^#&@*@^^@ I hate this poop. Not sure how it doesn't just make mid-majors farm clubs for P5 teams.

I totally disagree. I think players have to look at their minutes and consider how much they can improve next year. I see his going down (JMHO). So it might be a good move for him. We have a lot coming back and a lot coming in.

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and thought he had a lot of upside. But there are only 100 minutes available each game.

Sorry but I see it as our coaches fault. They played Levi and the combos were bad.

It doesn’t. Many of these guys go to lower level conferences to get more run. I have no clue what this kid has in mind, but if he somehow does get on a P5 roster he likely isn’t going to be playing any more than he did here (at best).

MBJs usage has been a head-scratcher for me for a while. Idk if the coaching staff hasn’t utilized him correctly or if there is something behind the scenes that we as fans don’t see that’s preventing him from getting starters minutes. Regardless - I’ve been bummed that he hasn’t blown up this season.

You're probably right. I just really like MBJ's skill set and effort.
