Didn't he have several shots? NBA is a tough place to make it. The odds of one player making the NBA is small. The NBA has 30 teams and let say the turnover (not counting trades etc) is 3 per team, that's 90 new players per year before the foreign players. Not a ton of slots to go around after you have 30 of those slots being filled by the 1st rounders. I am sure you can beat up my numbers, not really the point. Just a tough place to stick on a roster.
Not really. A shot is actually getting time on the floor to show what you got. Guys always slip through the cracks. NBA scouts get it wrong a lot. Look at what's going on with Javonte Green. He finally got time in summer league and that led to a training camp deal and will most likely be on the Celtics roster.

He turned down two two-way offers and went to Korea instead then got waived off the Memphis team. He had shots. But he did learn that he needed to round out his game and, to his credit, has been working at that.
