News News About RAMS In The Pros

I just put it this way. I do not like what the Olympics have become and thus, the games no longer interest me. I don't know what else to tell ya.

The entire premise of the Olympics was, amateur. The olympics started as amateur events in 776 BC. Then in 1896 the IOC setup the world wide/country level olympics, again as an amateur sporting event.
We are all old men and most of us long for a time less complicated. However, if we look critically our parents thought the same as did their parents before them.

You do not have to enjoy the olympics as that’s your right. I feel much the same about NFL, NBA, and MLB. I like them but not like I once did. I guess that happens once you look behind the curtain and see that the all might Oz is just some little fat dude with no magical power just tricking you with smoke and mirrors.

However, the olympics was never pure and never really amateurs. Where people compete, people wager and they cheat or as we used to call it “skirt the rules”.

As to those 776 BC games they were actually set up to be religious rituals and tributes to Zeus. Later it was stated:

“The games became a political tool used by city-states to assert dominance over their rivals. Politicians would announce political alliances at the games, and in times of war, priests would offer sacrifices to the gods for victory. The games were also used to help spread Hellenistic culture throughout the Mediterranean”

Not so pure and not so amateur. As even amateurs need sponsors I doesn’t if there were ever any true amateurs in participation.

I‘d say give it a chance if you like to see fast running, jumping, and swimming why not? As stated, not a big fan of the NFL but I did watch and thought the Eagles v. Vikings game was pretty good, kinda old l if you will.

I read this paragraph while eating my lunch today. It just struck me as so poetic in the moment that I read it with inner voice of the guy who used to narrate the 1970's NFL films

Richardson has a concussion but Minshew's doing a pretty good job.
I'm not sure if today's game outcome was the result of a troubled Titans team, of the fact the Colts played with more confidence, cohesion and determination, but the Colts looked great, played great, and gave me hope for a good season. And like game announcers stated, it benefits them greatly to have an experienced backup QB. Minshew is quite a different QB from Richardson, nearly polar opposites, and he is fantastic.

Mike Gilmore has been doing well in Greece. A veteran Greek center has been giving hm pointers. Sounds like Mike will start. He played Justin Tillman's team in a preseason game the other day. Not sure how that went. My guess is that Justin had 12 dunks and a double double though.

With Q2 Gardner Minshew leading as their star rookie QB was out on Conc protocol, The Colts yesterday turned out a hard fought (frustrating at times) OT upset win over what was a 2-0 Ravens team. When Mo was in the off line strength was noticeable, all the more noticeable was vulnerability when he was out.
I knew the Ravens were farvored, but just looked it up on CBS sports, "The Ravens are (WERE) 7.5-point favorites in the latest Ravens vs. Colts odds from the SportsLine Consensus, and the over/under for total points is 43.5."
STATEMENT WIN.
He and they have real reason to celebrate.
