RowdyPkunk, will you be in BROOKLYN this year? I feel as if I need to order you a boot at KBH. Your constant updates do not go unnoticed.

Not likely... will probably be watching from Baja Bean.... may go up Sunday for the Final if we make it. Always wanted to go to Brooklyn, just never really have the time or money to take a week off from work for it. Also hate to tell ya... I'm not a drinker. But thanks for the offer.

I wish A10 tourney would end on Saturday. If Davidson or Dayton make it to Finals I could see them playing on the 19th in Dayton. At least Dayton would not need to travel far. Not a lot of rest/prep time.

I think Dayton would need to win the conference tourney to get into the tourney.... and that would likely keep them out of the First 4 in Dayton.

Davidson may get an At Large but they'd prob need some help... not just winning out & knocking us out in the A10 Tourney.... but prob a few bubble teams to take a loss or two early in conference tourney play.

I admit this year is not a great example of A10 teams getting an at-large/Dayton invite. Having a Sunday final puts A10 teams at a disadvantage IF they get sent to Dayton. Perhaps someone has clinched the numbers {TV money for Sunday vs possible extra NCAA share due to better chance for a win?] I'd rather see A10 teams do better in the Big Dance.

from a conference perspective the best thing is for Davidson to lose to Dayton in the final. We are probably in barring injury. Davidson might be close enough if they make the final and some other teams falter and Dayton has to win the tournament to get in.

Tough to think that either Davidson or Dayton will get an at-large. But if I had to pick one, it would be Dayton.

Here are the numbers-

Davidson- NET- 75, RPI- 52, OOC RPI- 67, SOS- 110, OOC SOS- 84, Q1 record- 0-2
Dayton - NET- 66, RPI 62, OOC RPI- 120, SOS- 91, OOC SOS- 70, Q1 record- 1-5

Davidson would need our help. If we can get our NET to 30 or less they would have 1 Q1 win. That might happen in the A-10 tournament, but this time of year that much movement is tough. It more depends on teams moving DOWN in the ranking as the conference tournaments proceed than us moving up.

My guess is VCU has the ONLY chance at an at-large bid.

But of course, we won't need one.
