True... Hate when non-power conference teams have to play each other in the tournament. I'm still salty about our matchup with SMC. The only way it makes sense to me is the committee's track record in matching up non-power conference teams against each other. If VCU was going to be a 12, why not a match up vs Miami? There would have been a good story line there with a match up against Coach L (former GMU coach going back to the CAA days).

It's all about money for the P5s. If you match up the non-P5s against each other then they both cannot advance. This leaves the 1 -16 and 2 -15 and 3 -14 match ups to knock out the weaker non-P5s. Let's see how many non-P5s are around next weekend...just due to matchups.

So thoughts on the tourney thus far????

I think I have been most impressed by defense of Tenn and SDSU. Tenn was super physical and SDSU has a whole 2nd line with no drop off.

FAU has proven to be the best mm team in the country this year, and the Ivy winner has to be respected every year now

I would say SMC was impressive too, but it's too personal and hard to judge because we know our potential.
