Rams extend Rhoades through 2027

VCU extended the contract of head mean’s basketball coach, Mike Rhoades, taking the fifth-year Rams coach through at least the 2026-27 season.
Rhoades was Associate Head Coach of the black and gold through VCU’s most successful era under then-head coach, Shaka Smart, and has found success in his four year’s since taking over as Head Coach himself, winning the 2019 Atlantic 10 regular season title, VCU’s first in it’s history, then taking the Rams to an A-10 tournament title game this past season after a second place finish. Both seasons resulted in NCAA tournament bids.
The former Randolph Macon has called Richmond home since 1996, taking only a brief three season stint with the Rice Owls before returning to Richmond to take over at VCU.
Rhoades inherited a fairly bare roster his first season at VCU, taking over a team with just five returning players following the departure of Will Wade, but has quickly elevated the Rams’ recruiting levels to where they once were under Smart, his...

Given the lack of turnover, it would appear they are fed regularly and allowed time in the yard occasionally.
I let them roam the yard every day before I put clothes in the morning.
