Face value of the tickets. Last season it was $500 each. Haven’t been billed yet for upcoming season.

When I called the ticket office this week they said renewal information had not gone out yet because the printed brochure wasn’t ready yet.

2022-23 Men's Basketball Season Ticket Pricing
$449.00 Per Seat: Baseline Sections 12-13, 16-17, 20, 28, 31, 36
$499.00 Per Seat: Outer Sideline Sections 2-3, 8-9, 21-22, 26,27
$550.00 Per Seat: Sideline Sections 4-7, 23-25

So where you sit affects the price of the ticket. Another twist.

So for really good seats you always had to donate more, and now you also have to pay more per seat.

Hey - thanks. Honestly we are not worth $550 per ticket. I don't think we are worth $450. Now if we had a schedule like St. Louis i would def be interested. I am tired of us playing a bunch of low level D1 teams at home and it being passed off as a non conf schedule. Vandy and Navy and Radford and Morgan St just dont excite me. We will probably just do a weekend plan or maybe another mini plan. Price gouging at the mid major level is just not something i am interested in. We are gonna price out a lot of average fans. Its sad.

Why am I not surprised.... Ed & the AD trying everything they can to con people outta more money. All he is really doing is driving more & more people away.

In light of record inflation, I am OK with this. I am surprised they held the $500 and even lowered it to $449.00 in some areas.
They also raised the seat pricing in Tommy West to $600 and courtside to $800. Both were $500 in the past.

Con?
not sure offering a service or entertainment and being up front about the cost is a “con job”
better seats cost more money? …. You don’t say

I love the big games that happen but they have zero to do with my buying tickets or how much I pay for tickets. I buy tickets to watch and support VCU!

Everyone wants to be competitive at a high level beyond ThE A-10, we can’t equal what those programs spend to play at that level but we need to close the gap a bit. The alternative is being a true mid major and that is something we have evolved from in most any eyes in the college basketball world
