The song covers both the joys and heartbreaks of the tournament. The second verse in particular is dedicated to the heartbreak.

I don't really see VCU as being part of the tournament though so I get why we weren't included.

haven’t really been able to put the disappointment into feelings or words-but the voice in the video here comes close.
Proud of the accomplishment, not going too crazy because it’s never easy, but we’re there and proud. Then due to ...well... the tone of the last word, because what can you do?

I gave my wife's cousin a campus tour today. The bookstore had quite a few VCU March Madness 2021 shirts. I was tempted to buy one as a curiosity, but decided not to since seeing it would instantly make me depressed.

In a year that the jealous haters and fair-weather fans were calling for the death of the VCU basketball dynasty we pulled a 10 seed at large bid in the NCAA's. That part makes me smile at least.

I’ve seen it several times. Unexplained “passing out” is found to be due to PE.
