After this conversation I feel like a lot of this board shouldn't allowed to joke on Richmond fans for being old.
I tried my best to watch Davidson at La Salle last night. 700 tip. I fell asleep. It was truly awful. Close in score but not exciting. The "color guy" said that "the quality of play didn't go down when the subs came in." Truer words were never spoken. They all sucked.

Don't want to stray from the Mason game but I watched some of it too. La Salle is going thru the mid-season thing when a team becomes fractured. Dunphy did not play four of his starters and best players. He played them some in the 2nd half but Quisenberry only played 2 minutes. Something happened but he would not elaborate other than saying this.....

Also, I have noticed you can move the marker to the beginning, middle or end to view any part of the game you want. I have never tried that while the game is live but you might be able to go to the beginning if you cannot watch until the game is in the 2nd half.
I should try to move to 2 minutes left, 2 minutes into the game...

I'll be at the STU tonight for this one. -8 makes me a bit nervous. GM is another one of those teams that always plays us hard. Hoping we come out with lots of energy and would love to see Shriv drop six 3's and JW have another good night.

They're going to be tough. George Mason is pretty stout on offense and is one of the best shooting teams in the country (25th on Torvik in FG%). That being said, they turn the ball over a lot and if we play our typical game on defense, they should be beatable.

They have dropped (albeit in some cases by as little as 1 point) all but their last road game. I look for VCU to hold serve and lay the lumber to these guys.

Let’s hope Shriver goes for a new school record for made 3s. I have a gallon size ziploc bag of adhesive mustaches to give to the Rowdies & Peppas tonight. Hope it will be a big win for the Rams!

nah, spread it around, Shrive, Nunn, Jamir, Ace all with a couple and someone else hits a stray three (Banks) and we go 9-14. GooMoos will be saying, "Dang, who are we supposed to guard?"
Love the staches, wish I was there, I'd have one on. Not so sure how well it would go with my beard though.

I agree with Ace holding Polite in check. The 2 games I watched he had some good moves for easy baskets. If we hold Oduro down I think Polite with be their second option. Our bench should be a factor when they sub. Go Rams Go!

The bench battle is really 2 components: Bigs and Guards.

Mason has been running their offense thru Oduro since Kim English took over. The problem is you could literally stop Mason offense by getting him in foul trouble and forcing them to play small become a dribble drive/jump shooting team with no continuity, no rim protection or rebounding. This year, Mason has two very capable bigs which allow them to continue to play inside out when Oduro goes to the bench..combined with fact VCU has a shorter front line bench than last year..it's about even.

The backcourt is a different story, Mason had a veteran team of pg's last year. Not so much this year. The 2 guards who take over when Polite goes the bench are a freshman and midmajor transfer still getting acclimated to the A10. They can be turned over. Advantage VCU.
